Ben, originally from Bangor, Maine and now living in
Biddeford, has a strong belief in the remedy of fitness and his
self determination to help others obtain their goals. He has a
laid back personality and loves to have fun while getting the job
done. He enjoys activities like camping, swimming, rollerblading
and biking and has climbed Mt. Katahdin at least once every summer
for the past 5 years. From years of exercising outside, in his
room or during his employment at Hannaford, he likes to find
creative and unorthodox methods of exercise using his
surroundings.

Ben has a Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification
through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. His
recent graduation from the University of New England with a B.S.
in Applied Exercise Science has given him fresh knowledge of
exercise and fitness and the eagerness to apply it. During his
education he interned as an assistant track coach for Biddeford
High School as well as a fitness intern at the University of
Maine, Orono Recreation Center. He also attended several
conferences and seminars to assure his ongoing education in the
fitness field and plans to continue such attendance throughout his
career.

Ben hopes to find the competitive side in everyone in order to
push through a workout. "Even though working out is not a race
against time or the person next to you, it can certainly help to
challenge yourself from within and inspire those around you
through your enthusiasm and determination."
